About the Show
Our Mission
Cybersecurity doesn't have to be confusing, intimidating, or reserved for people who speak fluent command line. You've Already Been Hacked exists to change that narrative.
Our mission is to make cybersecurity accessible to everyone — whether you're a small business owner trying to protect your customers' data, a parent wondering if your family's devices are safe, or just someone who wants to understand the headlines without needing a degree in computer science.
Every episode, we break down complex threats, real-world attacks, and practical defense strategies into plain language you can actually use. No jargon. No fear-mongering. Just honest, actionable information that helps you stay safer online.
Meet the Hosts
Professor CyberRisk
Attilio Bonaccorso Jr. — known as Professor CyberRisk — is a visionary cybersecurity executive with over 20 years of experience protecting the nation's most sensitive digital assets. From the halls of the NSA and the Executive Office of the President to forward deployments in Iraq, Attilio has advised senior leadership across the DoD, the Intelligence Community, and the White House on cyber threats, AI risk, counterintelligence, and information warfare. Most recently, as a Specialist Master at Deloitte, he has built groundbreaking training programs — including a nationally recognized course on the threats of Generative AI — and developed automation pipelines that have saved government cyber teams hundreds of hours of work.
But Professor CyberRisk isn't just a practitioner — he's a teacher at heart. As an adjunct faculty member at American University's Kogod School of Business, rated among the school's top professors, and as an instructor at elite events like DEF CON and AFCEA, Attilio has made it his mission to translate complex cyber concepts into actionable knowledge. Holding a Master's in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Master's in Diplomacy & Terrorism from Norwich University, he brings unmatched depth and credibility to every conversation. On this podcast, he brings that same clarity and expertise directly to you.
Cyber Cowboy
Matt Lamanna is a battle-tested offensive security and cyber defense leader with over 27 years of experience operating at the intersection of intelligence, red teaming, and enterprise defense. A retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant, Matt has spent his career doing the hard work — leading national-level cyber exploitation missions, directing adversary emulation programs for U.S. Space Force, and shaping threat-informed security strategies across some of the most complex federal environments in the country. At Deloitte, he's built cutting-edge capture-the-flag platforms, led Space Force DCO training modernization, and designed intelligence-sharing frameworks that turn raw threat data into real-world defensive action.
What sets the Cyber Cowboy apart is a builder's mindset with a warfighter's instincts. Matt doesn't just talk about cyber threats — he's spent decades engineering the platforms, training the teams, and executing the missions to counter them. From leading 11-member offensive cyber crews to briefing senior military and executive stakeholders, he brings a rare combination of hands-on technical depth and strategic clarity to every conversation. On this podcast, he translates the complex, fast-moving world of cybersecurity into straight-shooting insight you can actually use.
Why We Started This Podcast
The idea for You've Already Been Hacked was born out of frustration. Too many cybersecurity resources are either too technical for the average person or too superficial to be actually useful. Meanwhile, the threat landscape keeps getting more dangerous, and the number of people affected by cyberattacks continues to grow.
We started this show because we believe that knowledge is the best defense. You don't need to be a security expert to protect yourself — you just need the right information, explained in a way that clicks. Whether it's understanding how ransomware works, learning to spot a phishing email, or knowing what to do when your company gets breached, we've got you covered.
Welcome to the show. And remember — if you're listening to this, you've already been hacked. But it's never too late to start learning.
